The last time we see Boyka, he’s in Georgia, running down the road, smiling (!), with a suitcase full of money in his hands. Towards the end of “Undisputed 3”, still limping Boyka “improvises, adapts and overcomes” another great fighter (Marko Dolor), and gains something he hasn’t seen for a long long time – freedom. In Undisputed 2, Yuri Boyka gets his knee broken by Michael Jai White, and the self-proclaimed “best fighter in the world” becomes a limping nobody, who’s cleaning toilets (entering “Undisputed 3”).

Somehow, I feel that if “Undisputed 4” will be made, Isaac Florentine will be put in director’s chair again, which is good, since being a martial artist himself, he knows exactly how to deliver action on screen. Scott Adkins himself right now is busy doing other projects, yet he seems to be interested in becoming Yuri Boyka one more time. Now, there have been talks about “Undisputed 4” coming soon, however from what I’ve been able to find, its safe to say that nothing has been confirmed yet, there’s no script or story. “Undisputed 2” and “Undisputed 3” proved that. Speaking of Scott Adkins – the man is definitely one of the most talented, agile and good looking martial artists in movies that I’ve seen. The guys I used to love watching most were Jeff Wincott, Matthias Hues, Loren Avedon, Lorenzo Lamas, Billy Blanks, Roddy Piper (technically not a martial artist, but a personal favorite), but since they’re all mostly out of the scene right now, thank God today we have Michael Jai White, Scott Adkins and a few others. I cannot claim I dig the old 70s chinese Kung-Fu movies a lot (there are exceptions in the face of a few Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Bolo Yeung movies), however martial arts films, even bad ones, are the ones that are most entertaining. Paul is nowhere near those wrestlers.I’ve been a fan of martial arts movies for as long as I can remember. Paul is a natural in the ring, but is WWE willing to push him as a mid-card champion or even a world champion? Bobby Lashley and Gunther hold the United States and Intercontinental Championships, respectively, and Roman Reigns is the current Undisputed Universal Champion. Does he simply want the cheers from fans? Is he OK with the idea of being booed, whether it be kayfabe or otherwise? Fans have their reasons for disliking Paul in general and delving deeper into that could help Paul’s status as a star. While his recent performance may change that going forward, it’s no guarantee.Ī potential issue could be with Paul and his motivations for wanting to be a WWE wrestler. The crowd has very little interest in rooting for him. The current problem with Paul outside of the ring is his character and promo work. The company would surely like to sell a ton of Paul merch, but WWE appear to be more interested in the publicity Paul can bring than anything else. I see three directions Paul’s career can go after his SummerSlam victory. In singles action, the 27-year-old showed he had been putting the work in to make WWE a career - Paul had signed a contract with WWE on June 30.īut the big question is where does Paul go from here? The influencer and podcaster is not a full-time star, though he does appear to be committed to being a WWE wrestler. The match was a showcase for Paul, as his first match was a tag team bout with The Miz against The Mysterios at WrestleMania. The highlight of the match was when Paul leaped from the ring to the outside announce table to frog splash The Miz through it. Paul picked up a pinfall victory over The Miz at SummerSlam in Nashville. Logan Paul has shown he is a natural when it comes to the in-ring aspects of WWE, but his future will be dependent on him and the company’s plans for the social media influencer.
